Sundar Pichai is an Indian business executive, who has came into the limelight for his role as CEO of the world’s most technological giant. The business executive debuted in the business world as a materials engineer.
Pichai had a role at McKinsey & Co for a while, before he joined Google in 2004. Pichai led the product management and innovation efforts at Google. He oversaw the development and deployment of various Google software products, including Google Chrome, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Maps, and others.
Pichai’s success as the Google CEO came in 2015. He had previously been appointed as Product Chief by Larry Page, who was the CEO of Google at the time. He stepped into the role of CEO on October 24, 2015. In 2017, Pichai was appointed to the Alphabet Board of Directors.

Sundar was born on June 10, 1972 in Madurai, India. Both of Pichai’s parents were working class, his mother was a stenographer, while the father was an electrical engineer at a British company.
Pichai attended local schools in India before he went to Stanford University for his master’s degree. Moreover, he enrolled in the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Kirani’s father started working as a consulting manager at McKinsey &Company before he joined Google in 2004. While at Google, he oversaw product management and innovation efforts which enabled the company to launch various software.

In 2014, Pichai was suggested to be Microsoft’s CEO, a position that was given to Satya Nadella. While he has worked so hard to ensure Google and Alphabet remain recognized and competitive companies, he attracted criticism in 2017 when he fired a Google employee who wrote a ten-page manifesto criticizing the diversity policies.
